Are you computer literate? The previous question is becoming increasingly asked when people go for job interviews. Being able to handle a computer and perform basic tasks is becoming an increasing necessity. However, in some localities of Mauritius, access to such knowledge is restricted since a computer is still considered a luxury in those regions. The people living in this regions hence find themselves less employable and find it difficult to find a good job.

 

IT4ALL is a project dedicated to bringing the knowledge of how to use a personal computer to perform basic tasks. Courses are delivered to those people so that they can learn to maneuver their way into performing simple tasks. The course curriculum covers:

  1. Introduction to computer

  2. The internet

  3. Productivity programs (word, excel and so on)

  4. Computer security

  5. Career oppotunities

            Enter Your Future :: Teach Mauritius 2014

The concept for this project is to provide the appropriate training to the people looking for programs which will help children in our school and college system to enjoy their education and be successful in their studies. The project aim is to look after children in the education stream with difficulty to learn looking to trigger their potential in any field like art, sports and academic learning.

 

The objectives of this project are:

  • Providing the love of learning to drop-outs of the educational system and those who attend primary and secondary school and having learning difficulties.

  • To find ways to develop the skill which have not been detected in these children and give them the necessary help to develop those and skills, for example, music, art, theatre, dancing and singing.

  • Counsel children in their career path, so that they are not outcast in society.

  • Give the children the confidence so that they can be successful in life.

  • Educational Outings with children to help them learn more about Mauritius.

  • Have interns look for sponsors to help needy students develop their talents.
